Move to make Holyrood’s Time for Reflection more diverse and representative

Professor Norman Bonney, Honorary President of ESS, is petitioning the Scottish Parliament to ensure that it makes its weekly four minute ‘Time for Reflection’ (TFR) is more in line with the ambitions of the newly elected Parliament in 1999 to reflect the full diversity of belief in Scotland.

The petitioner argues that the contributions to TFR are too heavily weighted to religious denominations and are not fully inclusive of the 37 per cent of Scots who reported to the 2011 census that they had no religion.
